Privacy

A privacy-respecting personal site: minimal data, no tracking cookies, and nothing that identifies you unless you choose to get in touch.

This is a personal portfolio site operated from the United Kingdom. It follows data minimisation — collecting only what is needed to run the contact form and to understand, in aggregate, that the CV is being downloaded. There are no tracking cookies and no cross-site analytics.

What I collect

Contact form. If you use it, I collect your name, email address and message, solely to respond to your enquiry. Messages are delivered by email (Amazon SES), are not shared further, are kept only as long as needed, and are deleted on request.

CV download. When you download the CV, a privacy-safe event is recorded — timestamp, CV version, referral source, approximate country, browser and device category, and a one-way-hashed network identifier. A raw IP address is never stored, and none of this identifies you personally. Downloading does not require a form.

What I don’t do

I don’t attempt to identify who downloaded the CV from this telemetry, I don’t use tracking cookies or cross-site trackers, and I don’t sell any data. Repository names and descriptions shown on the site are already public on GitHub; no private repository data is used.

Cookies & logs

No cookies are required for the site to function. Operational logs (AWS CloudWatch) are kept for a defined, limited period — never indefinitely.

Your data & deletion

To request deletion of anything you’ve submitted, email alausaabimbola@gmail.com. Verified requests are actioned within a reasonable timeframe.

Legal basis

As a UK-based site, where UK GDPR/PECR applies (for example, the contact form), processing favours minimisation and consent over broad collection.
